In my 18 years in education as both a computer science teacher and educational technology instructional coach, I’ve seen patterns of powerful influencers that have a tremendous positive impact on encouraging classroom student engagement. Some of my best memories in my 13 years teaching students in my classroom were community memories…unforgettable times we had together as a class.
After seeing these patterns, I created The ENGAGE Framework, built on the six influencers that I’ve seen make the biggest impressions on getting students to engage in our instruction, their learning, or our assessments.
